ProMETA celebra 25 años con un culto solemne de gratitud a Dios

En el marco de su 25 aniversario, ProMETA celebró un culto solemne de gratitud a Dios en las instalaciones de la Iglesia Vida Abundante Norte Cariari, en Costa Rica.
El servicio se desarrolló bajo el versículo lema de la conmemoración: “Prosigo a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús” (Filipenses 3:14), texto bíblico que inspiró un ambiente de profunda gratitud y compromiso con la misión de la institución.
La ceremonia contó con la participación presencial de académicos de ProMETA, trabajadores, amigos, y hermanos en la fe de diversas naciones presentes: Costa Rica, Estados Unidos, Venezuela, Perú, Nicaragua, Honduras, Bolivia, El Salvador, España, Chile, Ecuador y Canadá; y decenas de asistentes virtuales al evento a través de las distintas plataformas de transmisión, quienes juntos adoraron al Señor por su fidelidad. Durante el culto, se rindió reconocimiento a los pioneros y fundadores que respondieron al llamado e hicieron posible el nacimiento de ProMETA hace 25 años. Asimismo, se honró de manera especial a Jon Nelson y a doña Carmen Pérez por sus significativos aportes en el desarrollo de la institución en sus respectivas áreas de trabajo.
Javier Sepúlveda, rector de ProMETA, expresó: “Lo que fue una idea de un grupo de misioneros visionarios, hoy es una institución robusta, es una institución educativa innovadora, llena de vida y con la visión intacta desde el principio, que es proveer educación teológica y ministerial accesible para el liderazgo cristiano evangélico Latinoamericano.”
La exposición de la palabra de Dios estuvo a cargo de Keith Anderson, parte del equipo fundador, quien recordó firmemente: “Nuestra meta principal es Cristo, ser como Cristo. Todas las demás metas están por debajo de Cristo. No es que no las debamos perseguir, pero esas metas secundarias no pueden estar por encima de ser como Cristo. ¿Por qué? Porque ese es el premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús. Es la meta a la cual ProMETA ha sometido su misión, la de ayudar a los aprendientes que Dios nos trae para que cumplan su llamado.”
Con este servicio solemne, ProMETA reafirmó que toda su historia y futuro pertenecen al Señor, a quien se le atribuye la gloria por cada logro alcanzado en estos 25 años de ministerio.
ProMETA Celebrates 25 Years with a Solemn Service of Gratitude to God
As part of its 25th anniversary, ProMETA held a solemn service of gratitude to God on August 22, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Vida Abundante Norte Cariari Church.
The service was framed by the theme verse of the commemoration: “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14), a Scripture that inspired an atmosphere of deep gratitude and renewed commitment to the mission of the institution.
The ceremony brought together ProMETA faculty, staff, and friends, who worshiped the Lord together for His faithfulness. During the service, special recognition was given to the pioneers and founders who responded to God’s call and made the birth of ProMETA possible 25 years ago. In addition, Jon Nelson and Doña Carmen were honored for their significant contributions to the development of the institution.
Javier Sepúlveda, Rector of ProMETA, stated: “What began as the idea of a group of visionary missionaries is today a strong institution—an innovative, life-filled educational institution with the original vision still intact: to provide accessible theological and ministerial education for Latin American evangelical Christian leadership.”
The exposition of the Word of God was led by Keith Anderson, part of the founding team, who firmly reminded us: “Our main goal is Christ, to be like Christ. All other goals are secondary. It’s not that we shouldn’t pursue them, but those secondary goals cannot be above being like Christ. Why? Because that is the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. It is the goal to which ProMETA has submitted its mission: to help the learners God brings us to fulfill their calling.”
Through this solemn service, ProMETA reaffirmed that its entire history and future belong to the Lord, to whom it gives all the glory for every achievement accomplished throughout these 25 years of ministry.
